Wests Tigers have extended the contracts of rising stars Tim Moltzen, Beau Ryan and Blake Ayshford. All three backs were off contract at the end of 2010 NRL season but will now stay with the club until the end of 2012. Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys says the club is thrilled to have secured the deals for the three youngsters.

Tim has gone from the under 20s Rookie of the Year in 2008 to an established first grade player   -Stephen Humphreys

Former Selby Community Primary School pupil Gareth Ellis played a starring role in what could have been an historic rugby league win for England in the Gillette Four Nations Final at Elland Road. For Ellis set up a second try for Sam Burgess with an excellent flat pass that gave England a 16-14 lead after 50 minutes, which put them on the verge of their first tournament victory over Australia since the 1972 World Cup final.
